Green Crisco
Ok, so yesterday I ran into an old friend in Walmart, which is usually where I see her, and we got talking about Halloween. She made the firm recommendation to avoid using Crisco and green food coloring in your witch's Costume. With some coaxing she explained that she mixed the green coloring with the Crisco and plastered it on her face as part of the costume. It look rather well, until as she began trick-or-treating, the heat from her face began melting the Crisco, and it started running in her eyes, stinging, and all over her costume.
Fixodent for Kids?
Her next piece of advice was to not use fixodent when applying false teeth. She didn't go into much explanation, just saying that her kid really really wasn't happy, and they thought having him drink lots of warm water might help.
So, 2 thing to remember this Halloween for your kids. Don't use Crisco, colored or not, to make yourself look like a witch, and if you're going to give your kids false teeth, don't use Fixodent to keep them in place.
